Design your restaurant sign

Which sign is right for a restaurant?

Most restaurants choose one of three formats. Channel letters give the cleanest professional look - individual lit letters mounted on the facade. LED neon flex is the warmer, "Instagrammable" choice for cafes and bars - the look of vintage neon with modern energy use and durability. Lightbox cabinets give a flat front-lit panel with logo + tagline, popular for pizzerias and delis where a single large pop-out face does all the work.

A blade (projecting) sign at 90 degrees to the facade pulls in foot traffic from down the block - we usually pair one of these with whichever main sign you choose so the storefront reads both head-on and along the sidewalk.

Outdoor-grade and code-compliant

Every sign we build for outdoor restaurant use is rated for wet locations - sealed against rain, snow and the late-night high-pressure cleanings restaurant facades get. LED modules are rated for tens of thousands of hours, are covered by our 2-year warranty and draw a fraction of the power of old neon transformers, so the sign costs cents per night to run.

If your block needs an NYC Department of Buildings sign permit or a Landmarks Preservation Commission review, we provide the sign’s technical documents for your licensed filer. Full permit filing by SignBro is coming soon.

From design to install

Skip the back-and-forth quote loop. The online configurator gives you a real itemised price the moment you pick a font, size and lighting - no waiting for someone to email a PDF. When the design is ready we fabricate it in Brooklyn (typical turnaround 2-4 weeks, faster by agreement with your manager) and install across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island.

New location? Pre-opening signs (window vinyl or an A-frame with a temporary "OPENING SOON") are usually ready sooner than the permanent storefront sign, so you can put them up while the main sign is in fabrication. Ask your manager in the chat for a date.
